Good Evening! Welcome to the Friday evening Bible Study. Tonight I want to just pick up where we left off in Acts Chapter 2 and as you recall in Acts Chapter 2, God founded the New Testament Church and he poured out His spirit. And the individuals that he was working with were given the gift to be able to speak in tongues and as we read the account and look at the context and the words used we see that speaking in tongues here meant that they spoke in different languages, different dialects. We got up to Verse 14 and as we start here tonight we’ll go into Peter’s sermon that he gave there on the Day of Pentecost A.D. 31. It says in Verse 14 but Peter standing up with the eleven raised his voice and said to them “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and heed my words for these are not drunk as you suppose since it’s only the third hour of the day”.
