Second Tithe

The Second Tithe – The “second tithe” is “an additional tithe” of one’s increase and is saved by the individual, each year, and is to be used by them and their household in observing God’s Holy Days and festivals (Deuteronomy 12:5-18; Deuteronomy 14:22-27). The Scriptures show us that we are to spend this tithe for transportation (getting to and from the feasts), lodging, food, and drink, and for rejoicing during these days (Deuteronomy 14:23-26). The second tithe is a wonderful blessing which facilitates assembly and enables us to celebrate these feasts. Brethren who have more second tithe than they will use for their own expenses can use it to help others who are in need (Deuteronomy 14:27).
