ANSWER:

According to Scripture we are not to accept into our homes any peddlers of religion who might show up at our door.  Notice God’s instruction: “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds” (II John 10-11).

This verse clearly states that we should not invite into our homes just anyone who is going from house to house trying to persuade us to accept their form of doctrine.  Nor should we go preaching from house to house.  The example of Jesus Christ, the twelve apostles, and the apostle Paul is that we go into the homes of people who request that we do so to counsel with them.  But we do not go uninvited into the homes of people to try to persuade and teach them Bible truths.
