The world is full of evils. We are watchmen and thus must be aware, but we mustn’t let these things consume us. Truth is increasingly rare as fake news and misinformation is on the rise. We live in a Satan-influenced world surrounded by the willingly ignorant. If we are on guard, however, we won’t be deceived. Lies and deception are Satan’s favorite devices to destroy the truth. Mr. Lawrence parallels Paul’s humble love of the truth to the modern church era, and in particular to the work of the church under HWA. Mr. Lawrence uses the rest of the sermon to delve into Paul’s teachings on the enduring quality of pure, undefiled truth.
