Bible Study
Well, good evening everyone and welcome to the Bible Study here once again on Friday night. Tonight we’ll be covering Chapters 13 and 14 of the Book of Romans and maybe even get into the initial verses of Chapter 17. As I mentioned this Epistle is taking a little bit more time. We’re laying a foundation on some fundamental doctrines and teachings as we’ve gone along and that’ll save us time when we get to the same ones and future letters. Let’s go to Verse 1, Romans 13, it says; Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities for there is no authority except from God and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. When Paul wrote this letter, Nero was in power and yet Paul even in that case exhorted the Roman believers to submit to Nero’s authority because that authority was granted to him by God himself.
